León

The medieval walled city of León was built on the site of the camp of the Roman Seventh Legion (hence the name, from Legio Septima Gemina).

Our concert here was Thursday evening, at Iglesia San Martín. There was scads of publicity, both for our concert, and, incredibly, for another concert of Medieval music on the same evening. Ours was well attended nonetheless, with a bit of coming and going towards the back, presumably by people trying to catch bits of both concerts.
